| Harunaga Isaacson, IIBS Research Fellow for the year 2000-2001, studied philosophy and Indology at the University of Groningen (The Netherlands), getting a MA in 1990. He was given a PhD by the University of Leiden in 1995, for a dissertation on early Vaisesika. Now he is a Wissenschaftlicher Assistent at the Asien-Afrika-Institut, Abteilung für Kultur und Geschichte Indiens und Tibets, Universität Hamburg. His studies and research are mainly focussed on late Indian Tantric Buddhism. Besides, he is now working on a critical edition of the oldest recension of the Skandapurana and a critical edition of the oldest known commentary, by Vallabhadeva, on Kalidasa's Raghuvamsa.
