| 教育・研究の方向： |
| 教育や研究においては、実証学的なアプローチを尊重し、サンスクリット語や仏教梵語、パーリ語、チベット語、漢文、古文等の比較によって仏教の原典を正確に読解し、歴史背景に留意しながら、仏典の著者や編纂者の本来の思想を慎重に復元する事を目指しております。 主な研究テーマは、仏教における修行道論、主として禅定思想（瞑想に関する記述やその理論）です。インド仏教に於いて展開した禅定の世界とその歴史を研究しながら、瞑想の認識論的な分析や現代の心理学の観点からの考察にも取り組んでおります。 また、現代に於ける仏教と他の思想体系や科学との対話にも関心を持っております。 |
